Cedar Park is north of Austin, and you if thought Lakeline Mall was in Austin…you would be wrong. It is actually in Cedar Park. Cedar Park is growing fast and furious!
In our search for something new and different, we gave the newly opened “Garlick Joe’s” a try. I ordered it as “Take Out” for this visit. We were not disappointed! My husband ordered the Meat Lovers Pizza, and was totally surprised. Said it was one of the best he has had in the Austin area! I ordered the Lasagna, and it was fabulous! I love Italian food, and you would be surprised how hard it is to find good Italian food in the Austin area. (They tend to be a little more Tex-Mex flavored here).
I had ordered the Wedge Salad, but it was too much meat for me. Meats were served on the salad just like they went on sandwich or pizza, so be prepared to chop if you prefer that way. We ended up splitting it for supper with left over pizza. Meatiest pizza I’ve seen!
Garlick Joes is located at The Commons at Buttercup Creek, off of 183 North (Bell St. in Cedar Park), and Buttercup Creek Blvd. It is a Sport Bar flavored set-up, so you won’t miss the game!

Great write up Sherry. I love meat lovers pizza. Sounds like you found another good one.
Gary-Only takes one look at my backside to know...I am all about good food! I will be glad when all the Farmers markets start up...They don't deep fry or smother anything in cheese. (Darn it!)
Ok Sherry, lets see if its true, I'll order a Joes junkyard special and a Mamma Mia, o yea and Texas chef salad for two. For drinks super duper size them with little ice, I'll take two please. Thank you for pick up the tab. Is there any chance that I can get that order today by 11:00 pm.
I don't believe you about your backside, can you take a picture of it for us, again thanks.

Darn it Roy! I tried, but a wide angle lens only goes so far! Had their pizza again tonight. YUM!
Sherry,
Thanks for the recommendation. Next time we visit Austin might have to check this one out. I am a big fan of meat lovers pizza.
Thanks for this referral, Sherry:
As an Italian from the South Side of Chicago, I can not tell you how right you are about finding good Italian food in the Austin Area. When we first moved here, we asked every one we met, "Where do you find good Italian Food?" It was always Olive Garden or one of the other chains: "The McDonalds of Italian Food" as I like to call them.
The funny thing is, I stopped in their parking lot a couple of weeks ago to get my bearings on the map I was using on the way to an appointment in CP... I saw the sign and never gave it another thought. We'll have to check this one out!
Thanks again!
Michael- It's not a fancy place, but the food was good. I took a friend double pepperoni pizza and beef lasanga the other night. They loved it!
Sherry in Washington State we have Garlic Jim's and when looking at the menu, it looks identical. Hint; don't meet with a client after eating here for the sake of your business!!!
Paul- Garlic isn't our friend.....LOL! Save that for family and close friends!
Thanks Sherry -- I live in Cedar Park and need to try it out -- we dont have too many good restaurants out here :(
